A new chapter - Overcoming Setbacks

The past few weeks have been an incredible milestone in my softball career, one I will never forget. After 15 weeks of recovery following surgery on my broken arm, I had the honour of stepping back onto the diamond with my Tasmanian team to compete against China.
Earlier this month, wearing the Australian jersey and supporting my Aussie Spirit team from the bullpen was an unforgettable privilege. But there's something uniquely special about stepping onto the field for my first game back, side by side with my Tasmanian teammates, to face such a formidable opponent.
It marks the beginning of a new, exciting chapter in my career.
This journey has not been easy, but moments like these remind me why I love this game. Softball has taught me resilience, the importance of patience, and the power of showing up - even when the odds are stacked against you.
I couldn't have made it here without the unwavering support of so many incredible people. To my head coach and my sisters in the green Tassie uniform alongside me, thank you for always having my back, both on and off the field. Your belief in me and the bond we share as a team has been my anchor through this recovery.
